He is like a clock.

He is like a clock, because he always seems to turn clockwise. When he is on his tummy, he will turn himself around. Sometimes he does it a lot in his crib, and one night he had turned himself completely around. He is the only clock in the world that runs on milk.
I believe it was yesterday he turned himself over for the first time all by himself. Eliana saw it, I didn´t. He was on his tummy, lifted his head and chest up, and rolled himself over.
Andrew is starting to be able to grab things, and is getting to be very good at getting the side of his hand in his mouth. He does not like pacifiers, but prefers his hand.
The other day Eliana was sitting on the couch with Andrew, and the little dog jumped up there, and Andrew started kicking his legs, as if he was trying to kick the dog. He may have been just exercising though.
Andrew is such a calm baby. I know some people have babies that cry all the time, and I figured we would have one of those, but Andrew rarely cries. Usually he will yell... waaaa! and then several seconds later, another waaaa! But its not real often that he actually cries. But that will probably change when he starts teething. I heard there is a medicine to put on the gums to help with the pain when a baby is teething, has anybody tried that?
It seems Maria is going into labor, although I think she is just starting, and so maybe she won´t go to the hospital for a day or more. I really don´t know much about it, Eliana talked to her and Pablo, but it seems that maybe the baby will be born within 2 or 3 days.

Andrew will soon have a new cousin. He will no longer be the baby in the family. His aunt Maria and uncle Pablo are now in the hospital, and Maria may give birth to a baby girl either today or tomorrow, but we don´t yet know for sure.. they may end up sending her home to wait there. The babies name will be Grace. So once she is here, we will lay Andrew down beside her, and I know Andrew will be just huge compared to her. Andrew has learned a lot, so he will have much to show and teach her. Pablo and Maria have been wanting to have a baby for years, but have not been able to until now. So it is very exciting.

You may have already seen these in the email I sent out.

He is playing more and more. loves to suck on his hand, look at bright colors, lay on the bed while I bounce on it.. he especially loves that. He is a wonderful blessing to Eliana and I.

Andrews height and weight

When Andrew was born, he was 19.3 inches long, and weighed 6.9 pounds. Today he is about 3 months and 1 week old, and he is 24.4 inches long, and weighs about 14.4 pounds.

We were concerned about today, because Andrew had another vaccination. But it turned out to be drops that he had to drink, and not a shot. It was a vaccination for some sort of stomach disease. So we were really relieved. Now he is eating, and will probably fall to sleep after that.

Parents must be a united team in their ministry to their children. And it is a ministry.. and I cannot think of a more important ministry.

I know what it is like to have doubts about salvation. And I know how devastating that can be. Sometimes I still question my salvation, and I think about after I die, and stand before God, and I wonder.. what if I am wrong about my salvation?
But out of God´s grace, Christ is becoming more and more real to me, and those doubts and fears seem to be becoming less.
And so I want to share a wonderful verse. And this is why we cannot lose our salvation:

Jesus says in John 6:39:40: ¨Here is what the One who sent me wants me to do: I must not lose even one whom God gave me, but I must raise them all on the last day. Those who see the Son and believe in him have eternal life, and I will raise them on the last day. This is what my Father wants.¨ NCV.

We are in the hands of the Creator of the universe, and those are strong hands... nothing, and nobody can escape his grasp.

I saw this on another blog, and thought it was great.

My mother’s word meant...that salvation by faith does not mean that we are saved because we keep ourselves at every moment in an ideally perfect attitude of confidence in Christ. No, we are saved because having once been united to Christ by faith, we are his forever.
