It can be so difficult to not worry about money. I think that is something that everyone knows about. We can have a lot of money saved up in the bank, but still we worry, and wonder what will happen if someday that is gone. And that makes us hold onto it, and guard it. I think that really there is only one way to have peace with this, and that is to have the peace that comes from knowing that God will provide for you. I am not talking about what a person may want, like a new car, or lots of other different things a person might want. But God knows what we need, and that is what He provides. I think a good prayer is to ask God to help us to release our grip on money, and to trust Him.
Matthew 6:24-34
24 No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.
25 Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?
26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
27 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
28 And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.
29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.
30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'
32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Amen to that. :)
Tim, I think every young, married couple starting out worries about money. Keep in mind that an instinct to provide for your family and a grip on money are two different things. Its evident from these verses that the Lord doesn't want his people living in a state of anxiety. It makes sense, especially when you consider that a cloud of worry blocks the view of everything else, including God.
Interesting sidenote to this...I was watching a show on TV about the Biblical plagues in Egypt when the Pharoah wouldn't free the slaves. One of the traditions of the Jews at that time was that they had to throw away their grains every year. This show I was watching said that it was possible that those non-Jews who stored the grains year after year were probably eating moldy grain. Its possible the plague that killed the oldest sons resulted from this. The oldest boys were often fed more grain than the other children. Death would have been nearly instantaneous if the mold was bad enough. But, in half the quantities, other children might not have been ill at all. Its an interesting theory anyways.
