Andrew sure does have trouble with gas, and especially during the nights and in the mornings, its hard to get him burped. He can´t get back to sleep, because he is uncomfortable. He does not really cry, we can just tell when he has gas. Eliana is especially concerned. Does anyone have any advice... maybe you had a baby that had the same problem? It seems he has more trouble with gas after taking breast milk, which seems odd, but it´s hard to tell what is causing it, and why it takes so long for the gas to come out of him.
We would love to hear your ideas.

Tim here is a link discussing the lactose in breast milk which would come from the mother's diet could lead to gas and discomfort in infants. http://www.drgreene.com/21_836.html Of course, lactose intolerance has created a lot of tummy aches in our household. The article explains the theory pretty well and also brings out that this type of intolerance could be sporadic and temporary during infance infancy.
I discovered with Anna that caffeine (how is that spelled??) and garlic bothered her...a LOT! I had to cut out all pop (it actually dehyrated her, not gas, but we thought it was gas to begin with. Until we realized she wasn't having many wet diapers) and avoid garlic bread, garlic potatoes, etc. Garlic bothered Jacob, too. Mylicon really helped with that kind of gas. If he's lactose intolerant, I don't know if that would help. Oh, and also, when Anna had a lot of tummy problems, we found that wrapping her belly in a very warm towel really helped her (we would use a hand towel to get wet and then wrap her in a bath towel so she stayed warm. I spent several nights doing that!!)
