This is a prayer adapted by John Wesley. I made some changes, because it was written in that Old English, and is harder to understand, so maybe it is a bit easier now. It is not easy to give God permission to make us suffer, or to be poor, if that is what is best, and what God wants.
I am no longer my own, but yours.
Make me what you want, rank me with whoever you wish.
Put me to doing, put me through suffering.
Let me be employed for you or laid aside for you,
exalted for you or brought low for you.
Let me be full, let me be empty.
Let me have all things, let me have nothing.
I freely and heartily yield all things to your pleasure and disposal.
And now, O glorious and blessed God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
you are mine, and I am yours.
So be it.
There is a little more to this prayer, but I left out the last part, because I didn´t understand it.
